Improvement of SERS signal measured by portable Raman instrument using random sampling technique

In recent years, portable Raman spectrometers and commercialized surface-enhanced scattering (SERS) substrates have become increasingly popular. They turned out to be great tools for both substance detection, identification, analysis on-site. This work addresses the technique collect proper spectra using SERS spectrometers. We propose a random sampling that gives representative high-quality with high intensity good resolution. was tested on home-built spectrometer based metal film over nano-sphere (MFON) structure. Experimental results showed peaks of spectrum collected are significantly narrower than those measured in conventional one prevent samples from photoinduced degradation.
